Disability Mentoring Day

Disability Mentoring Day (DMD) is an opportunity to promote career development for students and job-seekers with disabilities through job shadowing and hands-on career exploration. DMD provides an opportunity to emphasize connections between school and work, evaluate personal goals, explore possible career paths, and develop lasting mentor/mentee relationships. Capacity Building Institute: Transition to Postsecondary Education for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism

April 14, 2010: Hilton Hawaiian Village, Honolulu, Hawai‘i
The purpose of this CBI is to increase the knowledge and skills of attendees who have an interest in improving postsecondary access and participation for individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. This workshop is recommended for college and university faculty, disability support personnel, high-school personnel, vocational rehabilitation counselors, DOE administrators, persons with disabilities and their advocates.
